Fira-International Announces Change of Leadership in the Ergonomics

After nine years with Fira-International Ltd, Claire Clark has decided to move on to new opportunities. We would like to sincerely thank Claire for her dedication, expertise and significant contribution to the business during her time with us.

Claire has played a pivotal role in the growth of our Ergonomics Department. Working alongside Levent Caglar, she helped develop our pressure-mapping consultancy and research services, spearheaded new ventures in passenger-train seat-comfort assessment, and led landmark initiatives to rethink the provision of educational furniture in schools - an area she remains passionate about and intends to continue championing.

We wish Claire every success in her future endeavours and thank her for the lasting impact she has made at Fira-International.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Jim Taylour as our new Head of Ergonomics.

A Chartered Ergonomist with more than 35 years' experience in the office and education furniture sectors, Jim has held senior roles with leading organisations including Gordon Russell, Giroflex and Orangebox.

Widely recognised for his expertise in workplace wellbeing, inclusion and hybrid working, Jim has published numerous papers on ergonomics and currently chairs the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors' Workplace Ergonomics Special Interest Group.

In his new role, Jim will support clients across all aspects of ergonomics, from product design and development through to final assessment, helping to ensure both contract and domestic products meet the highest standards of ergonomic excellence.
