Kitchen Testing

A new kitchen is a big investment and must be fit for purpose. To reflect this our tests replicate regular use and even occasional misuse.

This rigorous testing process helps to give an indication of the performance of kitchen units, worktops and components.

The various testing our experts undertake concern kitchen furniture - including tests to assess stability, safety, strength and durability; worktop tests and component tests, all of which give an assurance of performance.

Many of our kitchen customers also go beyond just testing, and work towards FIRA Gold Certification.

We’re UKAS accredited to test domestic and commercial:

• Kitchen storage units, including doors, shelves, carcasses
• Worktops and surfaces, assessing abrasion, impact, scrape and scratch resistance; resistance to wet and dry heat; chemical resistance (to oils, acids, bleaches, tea and coffee)
• Components, including hinges, handles and drawer runners
