Fira-International Ltd Expands UKAS‑Accredited Structural Testing Capabilities

Our experts at Fira-International  Ltd have successfully extended the fixed scope of UKAS accreditation, adding six additional structural standards and further enhancing our UKAS‑accredited testing services for furniture and safety glass.

Our expanded UKAS‑accredited scope now includes:

• BS EN 1022 - Furniture. Seating. Determination of stability
   
• BS EN 12520 - Furniture - Safety, strength and durability - Requirements for domestic seating
   
• BS EN 16139 - Furniture. Safety, strength and durability. Requirements and test methods for non-domestic seating
   
• BS EN 12521 - Furniture. Safety, strength and durability. Requirements for domestic tables
   
• BS EN 15372 - Furniture. Strength, durability and safety. Requirements for non-domestic tables
   
• BS EN 12150-1 - Glass in building. Thermally toughened soda lime silicate safety glass - Definition and description -  Clause 8 (fragmentation test)

This extension reinforces the breadth of testing available from FIRA International Ltd (FIL), supporting manufacturers, specifiers and retailers with independently UKAS‑accredited assessment against current British and European standards.
