Led by Howard James, Testing and Technical Services Manager, and supported by Steve Cotton, Technical Specialist, this course will give an understanding of the domestic furniture regulations, with a strong focus on the Furniture & Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988. Failure to comply with the FFFSR can lead to prosecution, so it’s key you understand your obligations

Although there are discussions taking place to review the FFFSR, the regulations remain in place and must be adhered to by law. This session will help you navigate the complexities of the regulations so that you’re clear on role and responsibilities to help keep consumers safe

Anyone who is involved with domestic furniture, such as upholstery, cushions, mattresses. The course will help those new to compliance to understand their obligations. The curriculum will also help those currently in a testing, product or compliance role who want reassurance that they’re up-to-date with the regulations and are correctly working towards compliance
